Tuchel Reaches Agreement To Become Next England Manager

Former Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has reached an agreement to become England’s new manager.

The 51-year-old has had advanced negotiations with the Football Association (FA) over the role.

 

The FA are looking for a permanent replacement for Gareth Southgate, who stepped down after Euro 2024.

And according to The Times, Tuchel has now agreed a deal with the FA with an unveiling expected this week.

 

Tuchel had also held talks with Manchester United in the summer to potentially replace Erik ten Hag before the Premier League side opted to keep the Dutchman in place.

Since United’s approach, the FA held extensive negotiations with Tuchel having appointed Lee Carsley as interim manager for England’s six Nations League matches across September, October and November.

 

Tuchel has won league titles with both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, while he won the Champions League during his time at Chelsea.
