ASUU Strike: Femi Falana Joins NLC Protest In Lagos
1 min readPopular activist lawyer Femi Falana has joined the Nigerian Labour Congress, or NLC, in its current protest.
Falana carried placards to uphold Nigerian interests while participating in the NLC rally in Lagos.
In support of the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ (ASUU) ongoing strike, the NLC organized a national rally.
Due to a dispute over the method of payment with the Federal Government, ASUU has been on strike for roughly six months.

In the meantime, the Lagos State NLC chapter gave the Federal Government a two-week deadline to settle differences with ASUU.
During a demonstration in Ikeja, the Lagos NLC chairman, Mrs. Agnes Sessy, announced this.
She pleaded with the authorities to take action or face further EndSARS demonstrations.
On Tuesday, the NLC and other university unions demonstrated against the current ASUU strike in Lagos.
