FG EXTENDS TECHNOLOGY, CLEAN ENERGY INTERVENTION TO OYO
The Federal Government, through the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), has extended its technology and clean energy intervention to Oyo State as part of efforts to promote economic self-reliance and improve livelihoods.
The intervention is designed to support local communities with technology-driven solutions while expanding access to clean and sustainable energy.
NASENI said the initiative would help strengthen local capacity, create economic opportunities and encourage the adoption of technologies that can support businesses and households.
The agency also emphasised the importance of developing home-grown solutions that can reduce dependence on imported technologies and improve Nigeria’s ability to meet its infrastructure and energy needs.
The intervention is expected to benefit residents through access to clean-energy technologies, technical support and opportunities for skills development and enterprise.
NASENI said the expansion to Oyo State forms part of the Federal Government’s broader efforts to deploy science, technology and innovation as tools for economic development, job creation and improved living standards across the country.
