OBOREVWORI MOBILISES APPOINTEES TO SHOWCASE ACHIEVEMENTS
Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has directed his political appointees to take the achievements of his administration’s MORE Agenda to residents across the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Oborevwori gave the directive while declaring open a one-day political seminar for Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants and Executive Assistants in Asaba. Represented by his Chief of Staff, Johnson Erijo, the governor urged the appointees to communicate the government’s achievements using accurate facts, figures and verifiable evidence.
The governor said his administration had recorded interventions in areas including road construction, bridges, urban renewal, education, healthcare, human capital development, youth empowerment, enterprise development and security. He also highlighted the state’s partnership with the Federal Government, saying it had created additional opportunities for Delta.
Oborevwori urged political leaders, appointees and supporters to take the administration’s message to every ward, community and local government area. He said the 2027 elections should also be viewed in the context of sustaining ongoing development programmes and political stability in the state.
The Senior Political Adviser to the Governor, Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, urged the appointees to move beyond simply announcing government policies. He said they should explain the practical impact of the administration’s programmes in ways that are visible, relatable, verifiable and understandable to residents.
The Secretary to the State Government, Kingsley Emu, and other political stakeholders also urged the appointees to familiarise themselves with the facts, figures and statistics surrounding the administration’s programmes. The seminar, which included presentations by senior political figures and academics, focused on strengthening grassroots communication and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
