TOYIN ABRAHAM DISTANCES SELF FROM LAGOS APC CAMPAIGN COUNCIL
Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has distanced herself from the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council after her name was included among members of the council.
The actress said she was not consulted before her name was listed and made it clear that she does not intend to participate in political campaigns ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Abraham explained that she is currently focused on her career and personal commitments and would prefer to remain outside partisan politics.
Her decision comes after the Lagos APC released the composition of its campaign council as the party begins preparations and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
The actress has previously attracted public attention over her political views and associations, but her latest statement indicates that she does not want to be formally involved in the campaign activities of the party.
She therefore asked members of the public to disregard any impression that her inclusion in the council means she has accepted a political role or endorsed the party’s campaign activities.
The development comes as political parties and their supporters intensify preparations for the 2027 elections, with various campaign structures and mobilisation committees being established across the country.
