Otti Inspects Bus Terminal as Project Nears Completion

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has inspected the ongoing Umuahia Bus Terminal project, expressing satisfaction with the quality of work and the pace at which the project is progressing.

During the inspection visit, the governor commended the contractors for adhering to specifications and timelines, noting that the project aligns with his administration’s commitment to improving transport infrastructure and urban development in the state.

Governor Otti said the bus terminal, when completed, will enhance public transportation, reduce congestion and provide a safer, more organised environment for commuters and transport operators in Umuahia.

“We are impressed with the quality of work done so far and the speed at which the project is moving. This terminal will add value to our transport system and improve the experience of commuters,” Otti said.

He reiterated his administration’s resolve to ensure that all projects inherited or initiated under his tenure deliver value for money and meet acceptable standards before commissioning.

Officials supervising the project assured the governor that the bus terminal would be completed within the scheduled timeframe, adding that finishing touches were already underway.

The Umuahia Bus Terminal is expected to serve as a major transport hub in the state capital, supporting economic activities and improving mobility across Abia State once completed.
