TINUBU WON’T ABANDON NIGERIANS AMID FUEL PRICE HIKE — FG

The Federal Government has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu will not abandon them amid rising petrol prices, insisting that the administration remains committed to addressing the economic challenges facing the country.
The government’s statement comes as Nigerians continue to grapple with the impact of higher fuel prices on transportation, food costs, businesses and household spending.
In defending the administration’s response, the Federal Government pointed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited’s reported decision to forgo profit as part of efforts to cushion the effects of rising petrol prices.
The move is presented as an intervention intended to ease some of the pressure on consumers, although questions remain about how long such measures can be sustained and how much relief they will provide.
Petrol prices remain a major concern for households and businesses, with increases often affecting the cost of moving goods and providing essential services.
The Federal Government maintained that the administration would continue to explore measures to support Nigerians amid the prevailing economic difficulties.
