EPL: Man Utd Felt I Was Lying – Ronaldo Reveals Real Reason He Skipped Preseason
1 min readManchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed members of the club’s hierarchy doubted him when he missed pre-season because his daughter was ill in hospital.
In the first clips released by TalkTV, Ronaldo accused United of betraying him and said he doesn’t respect manager, Erik ten Hag.
And now, in the latest teaser from the sit-down with Piers Morgan, the 37-year-old has alleged the club didn’t believe him when he said his daughter, Bella, was in hospital with bronchitis – just three months after her twin brother had died.
“I spoke with the director and the president of Manchester United and they kind of didn’t believe that something was going wrong, which made me feel bad,” Ronaldo told TalkTV.

“I didn’t want to leave my family to do the pre-season because I didn’t think it was fair to leave my family for a pre-season. This is why I didn’t go.”
The full length of the interview with Morgan will be released in two parts on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
