Beckham And Solskjaer Scores As United Legend Thrash Bayern Munich Legend In A Charity Cup

David Beckham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer played the super sub role once again for Manchester United as the manager wound back the years in the Treble Reunion clash with Bayern Munich.

Ole Solskjaer wound back the years as the Manchester United manager came of the bench to score for Alex Ferguson’s side against a Bayern Munich team in the “treble Reunion ” match – 20 years to the day after United won the 1999 Champions League final in Camp Nou.

There was a real feelgood factor in the air, with David Beckham firing cross-field balls, Jaap Stam showing no mercy at the back and Paul Scholes bossing the midfield.

Solskjear scored the first goal,Dwight Yorke gave the host the second goal,Nicky Butt scored the third, the fourth coming form the substitute Louis Saha and the Fifth goal came from David Beckham.

Sir Alex Ferguson on the United bench applauded after Beckham scored with the last kick of the match, a 5-0 win played out in front of a 61,000 crowd, raising key funds for the Manchester United Foundation

This match was a 1999 Treble reminder of how Man United ended that season with three different Cups, which are FA Cup, English Premier league and the Champions league.
