The Non-Indigenes in Lagos Consultative Forum has congratulated Mr. Seyi Tinubu on his coronation as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland, describing the traditional title as one of deep ancestral significance, cultural honour, and moral responsibility within the Yoruba traditional institution.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of its members, the forum said the conferment of the Okanlomo title reflects recognition of Seyi Tinubu’s commitment to youth development, social inclusion, and community service across Yorubaland and beyond.
The group noted that the Okanlomo title carries with it a sacred obligation to uphold Yoruba values, promote unity, and serve as a bridge between tradition and modern leadership. According to the forum, Seyi Tinubu’s emergence as Okanlomo symbolizes the confidence reposed in his capacity to positively influence society and contribute to cultural preservation.
The forum also expressed optimism that his new role would further strengthen peaceful coexistence among indigenes and non-indigenes in Lagos State, while fostering mutual respect and collaboration.
