SSDC Chairman Demands Transparency, Accountability from Board, Management
Port Harcourt, Nigeria – Chairman of the South-South Development Commission (SSDC), Chibudom Nwuche, has called on the commission’s board and management to uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Nwuche made the call while outlining his vision for the commission, stressing that good governance and prudent management of resources are essential to achieving meaningful development across the South-South region.
He urged members of the board and management team to work collaboratively in ensuring that projects and programmes of the commission are implemented efficiently and in line with the expectations of the people.
According to the SSDC chairman, transparency and accountability will strengthen public trust, promote effective service delivery, and ensure that development initiatives have a lasting impact on communities across the region.
Nwuche reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to driving sustainable development, improving infrastructure, and enhancing the socio-economic well-being of residents in the South-South geopolitical zone.
He also emphasized the need for integrity, professionalism, and dedication among stakeholders as the commission begins efforts to address the region’s developmental challenges.
The SSDC was established to coordinate and accelerate development projects aimed at improving living standards and fostering economic growth across the South-South region.
