Saraki Urges Unity, Says S’Court Verdict Ends PDP Leadership Crisis

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has called for unity within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following a Supreme Court ruling he says has resolved the party’s lingering leadership crisis.

Saraki urged party members to put aside differences and work together to rebuild and strengthen the PDP ahead of the 2027 general elections. He noted that the court’s verdict provides a clear path for stability and renewed direction within the party.

“The judgment has settled the leadership issues. Now is the time for unity and focus,” he said, emphasizing the need for reconciliation among stakeholders.

He also called on party leaders and supporters to channel their energy toward repositioning the PDP as a strong opposition force, capable of competing effectively in future elections.

Political observers say the development could mark a turning point for the PDP, as it seeks to overcome internal divisions and present a united front in the lead-up to 2027.
