The professional committee of the Nigeria Boxing Federation says it is working to secure better pay and improved career opportunities for Nigerian boxers.
Committee member Omo-Agege said plans are underway to attract credible promoters and investors to help build sustainable careers for fighters in the country.
According to the committee, the initiative is aimed at improving the welfare of boxers, increasing exposure, and creating more professional opportunities within the sport.
Officials also stressed the importance of proper management, sponsorship, and structured competitions in developing boxing talent in Nigeria.
The federation expressed optimism that stronger partnerships with promoters would boost the profile of Nigerian boxing both locally and internationally.
