Four dead In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Accident – FRSC
1 min readOn the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, a Mazda bus and a truck were involved in a collision that resulted in four fatalities and six injuries.
On Tuesday in Abeokuta, Ahmed Umar, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, gave journalists there confirmation of this.
“A Mazda bus with the license plate YYY 412 XB was involved in a collision this morning at around 6:25 a.m. with an unregistered truck.

“The Mazda bus driver struck the moving truck from behind while traveling at a fast rate of speed because the truck’s lights were defective. The truck’s rear lights, which are used to alert oncoming traffic, were not working, he claimed.
“Among the dead was a young boy. While the corpses were placed to the FOS Morgue in Ipara, the injured victims were transferred to the Victory Hospital in Ogere for medical attention.
Before beginning any journey, the sector commander recommended drivers to check that everything in their car is in functioning order and warned them about speeding.
He expressed sympathy to the victims’ families and suggested that they get in touch with the FRSC Ogere to learn more about the collision.
