CITY BOY MOVEMENT URGES YOUTHS TO PROMOTE NIGERIA, SHUN ELECTORAL VIOLENCE
The City Boy Movement has called on Nigerian youths to promote the country’s image, reject electoral violence and support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The movement made the appeal as Nigeria marked its 66th Independence Anniversary on Thursday, October 1, 2026, urging young people to use their influence on social media and other platforms to encourage patriotism, national unity and responsible civic participation.
The group also encouraged youths to avoid actions capable of disrupting the electoral process, stressing the importance of peaceful political engagement as the country prepares for the 2027 general elections.
The City Boy Movement, which supports Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, has been involved in grassroots mobilisation and youth engagement in support of the President’s policies and political activities.
The organisation has previously outlined plans to expand its presence across the country and mobilise young Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections.
Its appeal comes amid growing political activity and discussions about the role of young people in shaping Nigeria’s political future.
The movement’s message also highlighted the importance of using digital platforms to project a positive image of Nigeria, while encouraging young citizens to participate in national development and democratic processes without resorting to violence.
