Ekiti Poll: INEC Opens Portal for Ad-Hoc Staff Recruitment
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its online portal for the recruitment of ad-hoc staff ahead of the upcoming governorship election in Ekiti State.
In a statement, the commission invited qualified Nigerians to apply for various roles, including Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs), and other support positions critical to the conduct of the election.
INEC urged interested applicants to complete their registration through the official portal before the stated deadline of May 18, noting that only eligible candidates who meet the specified requirements will be considered.
The commission emphasized that the recruitment process is part of its preparations to ensure a credible, transparent, and efficient electoral process. It also assured applicants of a fair and merit-based selection system.
Prospective ad-hoc staff were advised to provide accurate information during registration and remain available for screening and training if shortlisted.
Observers say the early opening of the portal reflects INEC’s commitment to timely planning and effective organization ahead of the Ekiti governorship poll.
