Bala Mohammed Drops Two Commissioners in Cabinet Reshuffle


Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle, dropping two commissioners and accepting the resignation of another as part of efforts to reposition his administration for improved service delivery.
In a statement issued by the state government, the governor said the changes were aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing the performance of ministries, departments and agencies.
Governor Mohammed thanked the affected commissioners for their contributions to the development of the state and wished them success in their future endeavours. He also acknowledged the service of the commissioner whose resignation was accepted.
To fill the vacant positions, the governor forwarded the names of new commissioner nominees to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in line with constitutional provisions.
The administration noted that the reshuffle forms part of its routine evaluation of cabinet performance and its commitment to ensuring efficient implementation of government policies and programmes.
The governor reaffirmed his dedication to delivering quality governance, urging the incoming commissioners, once confirmed, to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, accountability and commitment to the welfare of the people of Bauchi State.
The latest cabinet changes underscore the administration’s resolve to strengthen governance and accelerate the implementation of developmental projects across the state.
