Abia LP Elects New Executives, Otti Pledges Support

The Labour Party in Abia State has elected a new set of executives, with Peter Azubuike emerging as the state chairman.

The election, which brought together party stakeholders from across the state, is seen as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s structure and grassroots mobilization ahead of future political engagements.

Speaking after the exercise, Governor Alex Otti pledged his full support for the newly elected leadership. He expressed confidence in their ability to unify party members and advance the party’s agenda in the state.

Azubuike, in his acceptance speech, thanked party members for the confidence reposed in him and promised to lead with transparency, inclusiveness, and dedication. He emphasized the need for unity and collective effort in building a stronger party.

Party members and observers described the exercise as peaceful and well-organized, noting that the emergence of new executives could energize the party’s base in Abia State.

The new leadership is expected to assume duties immediately, with a focus on consolidating party structures and preparing for upcoming political activities.
