AIYEDATIWА WARNS ONDO APC MEMBERS AGAINST ANTI-PARTY ACTIVITIES

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has warned members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state against engaging in anti-party activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Aiyedatiwa gave the warning during a stakeholders’ meeting with APC local government and ward chairmen in Akure, where he called for greater unity and commitment among party members.

The governor declared that he had zero tolerance for anti-party activities and denied allegations that he was encouraging or sponsoring APC members to contest elections on the platforms of opposition parties.

Aiyedatiwa urged the party’s 18 local government and 203 ward chairmen to strengthen mobilisation at the grassroots and ensure that party members work together ahead of the elections. He stressed that polling units, which are located within the wards, are critical to the party’s electoral activities.

The governor also directed ward chairmen and secretaries to hold regular meetings and bring party leaders together to discuss the affairs of the party and preparations for the 2027 elections.

The Ondo APC chairman, Babatunde Kolawole, also called for loyalty to the party and warned that members found engaging in anti-party activities could face consequences. The party leadership said it would continue efforts to strengthen the APC’s structures and resolve internal disagreements ahead of the elections.
