JAMB to Set 2026 UTME Cutoff Marks May 11

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will determine the cutoff marks for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) at its policy meeting scheduled for May 11.

The meeting is expected to bring together key stakeholders in the education sector, including heads of tertiary institutions, to decide the minimum admission benchmarks for universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across the country.

JAMB said the outcome of the meeting will guide the admission process for the 2026 academic session, providing clarity for candidates and institutions.

Prospective students have been advised to stay updated and prepare accordingly, as the approved cutoff marks will play a crucial role in determining eligibility for admission into their preferred institutions.

The annual policy meeting is a key event in Nigeria’s education calendar, setting the tone for admissions nationwide.
