2027: Senate Leader Warns Ekiti APC Against Division Over N’Assembly Tickets

The Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, has cautioned members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State against internal division ahead of the 2027 National Assembly elections.

Bamidele urged party stakeholders to remain united as preparations begin for the primaries that will determine candidates for Senate and House of Representatives seats. He warned that infighting and disunity could weaken the party’s chances at the polls.

Speaking during a meeting with party leaders, the Senate Leader emphasized the need for dialogue, inclusiveness, and adherence to party guidelines in the selection process. He noted that a transparent and fair primary election would help maintain cohesion within the party.

“Our strength lies in our unity. We must avoid actions that could divide us, especially as we approach such a crucial election cycle,” Bamidele said.

He also called on aspirants to conduct their campaigns peacefully and respect the outcome of the primaries, stressing that collective interest should take precedence over personal ambition.

Political observers say the warning reflects growing concerns over potential rivalry among aspirants jostling for tickets, as parties begin early positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections.
