I’m Nigeria’s Most Insulted Politician After Tinubu — Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, has declared that he is the most insulted politician in Nigeria after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, attributing the attacks to his unwavering loyalty and commitment to political agreements.

Wike made the statement on Saturday at the country home of Chibudom Nwuche, Chairman of the South-South Development Commission (SSDC) and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, during a thanksgiving service held in Ochigba community, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

According to the former Rivers State governor, his continued support for President Tinubu has remained firm despite criticism from various quarters, noting that many of those now claiming loyalty to the President were absent during the 2023 elections.

“We have never wavered in our support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Wike said.

“Let me tell you, after President Bola Tinubu, the next most abused politician is me. Why are they abusing me? Because they know that once we reach an agreement, it must be implemented.

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of the South-South Development Commission, Chibudom Nwuche, reaffirmed his loyalty to Wike, stating that he and other political leaders in Rivers State would continue to stand by the FCT Minister.

Nwuche described Wike as a leader of integrity who believes strongly in political consistency and accountability, adding that his contributions to the development of Rivers State and the South-South region remain unmatched.

The event, which attracted political stakeholders from across the state, served as both a thanksgiving ceremony and a show of solidarity for Wike’s political stance and leadership style.
