Nigeria On The Path To Progress, Says Tinubu In Christmas Message
2 min readIn a heartfelt Christmas message, President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the country is on a promising path of restoration and progress.
He expressed hope for a prosperous future, urging citizens to unite in prayer and support for the nation’s leaders as they strive towards a brighter tomorrow.
“On this joyous Christmas Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings to Christians across Nigeria and worldwide as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, as narrated in the Holy Scriptures.
“Nigeria is on a promising path of restoration and progress, with every indication pointing toward a bright future. In the spirit of this season, let us renew our hope and belief in a prosperous Nigeria.”Tinubu said in a statement personally signed by him.

The President emphasized the importance of supporting and praying for leaders at all levels of government. “Let us extend similar support and prayers to our nation’s leaders. With your backing, we can serve our country diligently and strive for prosperity,” Tinubu urged.
Reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas, Tinubu described the season as a reminder of love, peace, and unity, and of the light that emerges even in the darkest times. “Christmas embodies the fulfilment of divine prophecy and symbolizes the triumph of love, peace, and unity. It is a poignant reminder that light can emerge even in the darkest times, bringing solace and hope,” he said.
The President also took a moment to sympathize with the families of those who tragically lost their lives in recent stampedes across the country.
He referred to the incidents in Abuja, Ibadan, and Anambra State as deeply saddening. “Recent tragic events in Oyo, Okija, and Abuja deeply sadden us, and our thoughts are with those who continue to suffer from these heartbreaking incidents,” he said.
“We earnestly pray that such misfortunes do not revisit our families and communities and that the lives of innocents are never again cut short.”
Tinubu expressed his condolences to the families enduring pain and loss this year, whether from floods, fires, or accidents, offering prayers for comfort and solace in the midst of their grief.
“May we all find comfort and solace in our faith, the support of loved ones, and the abiding presence of Jesus Christ. Our compassionate and merciful God stands with the weak, the brokenhearted, and the sick,”he added.
