Why Friday Is Different In Dressing Styles

1 min read

Friday is unofficially a dress down day and in Nigeria, also a day for traditional dressing.

It is actually fun and inspiring to see when many corporate establishments have their staff come in on Fridays dressed in Nigerian/African fabrics, styles and in some cases with a contemporary twist.

After donning looks from the western culture from Monday to Thursday, you can actually see them let down their hair and even look somewhat relaxed in their Ankara, linens and brocade garbs.

These are often very colourful in patterns and cuts and one cannot deny what it does to the atmosphere in such establishments.

From short skater to maxi dresses, vests, culottes, cigarette and palazzo pants, shirts and many more, the looks are endless.

Styles a should be in the most decent colours allowed by the organization which nerve takes away from the glamour of wearing the African experience in Ankara.

This week, let your Ankara speak for you just how much you let down your hair in the “TGIF” experience at your offices with the best style you can pull out of your closet.
