1 min readThe alleged conflict inside the Yoruba One Voice (YOV) movement has taken on a new dimension.
Sina Okanlomo, the ex-Secretary General of the group that is in the vanguard of the Yoruba Nation agitation, has been removed.
Dapo Adesanmi, the African Secretary, made the announcement in a statement.

The decision was made by the National Coordinating Council’s (NEC) highest decision-making organ, according to Adesanmi.
The move was taken as a result of Okanlomo’s “many misconducts, including organizational malpractices and infiltration,” according to the organization.
Okanlomo is accused of parading himself as YOV President, months after removal from his former position.
The statement said the hierarchy is based on collegiate leadership and cannot have a single president.
Arrogating the sensitive role of coalition president to oneself is nothing more than impersonation.
“It also contradicts the Yoruba organization’s core doctrine,” Adesanmi remarked.
