Peter Obi, Sowore Should Contest for N’Assembly Seats, Not Presidency – Gbenga Adeyinka

Nigerian comedian Gbenga Adeyinka has advised younger presidential candidates from the 2023 elections, including Peter Obi and Omoyele Sowore, to consider contesting for seats in the National Assembly instead of the presidency.

 

In a recent podcast, Adeyinka emphasized the importance of having influential figures like Obi and Sowore in the Senate and House of Representatives to bring about cautious decision-making and transform the country’s laws and governance.

Adeyinka noted that many young candidates have expressed interest in the presidency, but their talents might be better utilized in legislative roles.

 

He stressed that politics in Nigeria has a bottom-up structure and that aspiring politicians should work their way up within the system.
