Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, on Monday posted a cryptic message on Instagram just two days after their shock elimination from the 2022 World Cup.
Ronaldo started the match on the bench, before being introduced mid-way through their loss to Morocco.
Now – with his domestic career still up in the air – the 37-year-old has revealed his ‘three aspects of reality’ in a post on Monday night.
The image comes from a recent Netflix documentary directed by Jonah Hill entitled; Stutz. It focuses on American psychotherapist Phil Stutz, who works on life improvement.
Just one day before, the superstar forward penned a long message to his followers on the same platform and spoke of his allegiance to Portugal.
There had been questions over Ronaldo’s commitment after suggestions that he was willing to walk away from the national team camp during the World Cup.
However, Ronaldo stayed as his side crashed out in the quarter-finals. He ended up losing his starting place to Benfica’s rising star Goncalo Ramos.
Ronaldo is yet to announce his domestic club future, having left Manchester United mid-way through the World Cup.
Following his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan, the 37-year-old had his contract terminated by mutual consent at Old Trafford.
The Portugal forward was seen in tears heading down the tunnel after his side’s shock defeat.
It will likely be the last appearance for Ronaldo at the World Cup, having never been able to get on his hands on the trophy.
