NO FIXED DATE YET FOR IPO, SAYS NNPCL
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has said there is no fixed date yet for the planned Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the company.
The oil company said the timing of the proposed listing remains subject to the necessary processes and approvals, stressing that the final decision will be determined by the appropriate authorities.
NNPCL explained that preparations for the IPO are ongoing, but several factors must be considered before a definite date can be announced.
The company’s proposed listing is expected to provide an opportunity for wider public participation in its ownership while also strengthening transparency and corporate governance.
NNPCL said it remains focused on positioning the company as a commercially driven energy business, with the IPO forming part of its broader transformation plans.
The clarification comes amid growing interest in when Nigerians and other investors may be able to participate in the company’s proposed public offering.
