Liverpool Face Tough Test As They Take On Bayer Munich At The Allianz Arena As Barcelona Host Lyon

1 min read

Liverpool would be looking forward to being the last team to make it the UCL quarter finals. If they did qualify, they will be the fourth English team in the last 8, after Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham already made it through, making it impossible not to have an all English affair in the quarter finals. Won’t be easy though, against a rejuvenated Bayern Munich.

Bayern needs to win this tie, through normal time or through penalty kicks to advance into the quarter finals, Liverpool on the other hand only needs a draw involving goals to advance. Liverpool will be without Naby Keita for the tie but will be counting on Virgil Van Dijk leadership after the dutch missed the first leg through suspension.

Liverpool has drawn 4 of their last 7 matches wile Bayern has won 6 of their last 7 matches. Liverpool will be counting on their star player Mo Salah to deliver, while Bayern Munich will be counting on the competition current top scorer, Lewandowski with 8 goals to get one or maybe more in what is expected to be a real cracker.

In the other fixture, Barcelona host Lyon at the Camp Nou after a barren draw at the Stade de Lyon. Barcelona will be counting on their talisman, Lionel Messi to help them qualify for the quarter finals, and Lyon would be hoping they can go agaainst all odds to cause a major upset.
