KADUNA GOVT SEEKS YOUTH SKILLS PLATFORMS AS NASENI CENTRE BEGINS
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has called for more platforms to develop young people’s skills as construction begins on a new National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Skill Development Centre in the state.
The governor made the call during the groundbreaking ceremony for the centre in Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Sani emphasised the importance of equipping young people with practical and technical skills that can improve their employment prospects and prepare them for opportunities in a changing economy.
The NASENI centre is expected to support technical training, innovation and skills development, helping young people acquire competencies relevant to industry and entrepreneurship.
The initiative also aligns with broader efforts to strengthen technical and vocational education and expand opportunities for young Nigerians to participate in productive economic activities.
The governor’s call highlights the need for collaboration between government agencies, educational institutions and the private sector to ensure that skills training translates into employment and sustainable businesses.
