International Friendly: Nigeria Beats Egypt

Nigeria pips Egypt 1-0 in an international friendly at the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba, Delta State. Debutant Paul Onuachi scored the only goal and also one of the fastest goal in the history of football as he striked 6 seconds after kick-off.

The win is Nigeria second victory in 4 days after defeating Seychelles 3-1 in the last Afcon qualifier match, with Nigeria topping the group with 13 points.

It was packed filled arena at the Stephen Keshi stadium in a preparatory match for the African Cup of Nation. Both team had their chances at goal but it was Nigeria who ran away with victory at the end of 90 minutes. Ikechukwu Ezenwa had to be at his best in the second half as the Egypt upped their effort in a bid to get a goal.

Coach Gernot Rohr will be happy with his team performance ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nation, coincidentally to be hosted by Egypt.
