I’ll never sign world-class player like him – Saudi Arabian club chief mocks Lionel Messi
1 min readAl-Tai FC chief Turki Al-Dhabaan has vowed never to sign a player like Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi for the club.
Messi was on the pitch when Bayern Munich defeated PSG home and away to send them crashing out of the Champions League in the round of sixteen and Al-Dhabaan thinks the superstar’s contribution to his team has dropped.
Al-Tai’s Saudi Pro League rivals Al-Nassr have already signed Cristiano Ronaldo on a free transfer in December 2022.

There are widespread reports that another SPL side Al-Hilal are determined to sign Messi this summer when his contract with PSG ends.
But Al-Tai supremo Al-Dhabaan said he will not sign players for the sake of it, mocking Messi’s underwhelming performances against Bayern Munich to make his points sink.
Al-Dhabaan said on the Saudi Arabian television channel SBC, “I do not want to sign a world-class player in my team who is saturated and watches the match from the stadium like Messi in front of Bayern Munich.”
