I Prefer Sarri’s Style To Mourinho, Conte’s-Hazard

Chelsea winger, Eden Hazard, admits that he prefers current Blues manager, Maurizio Sarri’s playing style to that of Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

The Belgium international has been at the centre of Chelsea’s success in recent years, winning two Premier League titles, under both Mourinho and Conte, while he has also lifted the FA Cup and the Europa League.

However, while the season remains young, Hazard believes that Sarri’s style, nicknamed ‘Sarri-ball’, better suits his way of playing at Stamford Bridge.

“I like to have the ball. “Not in my own half, but in the last 30 metres,” Hazard told Chelsea TV.

“I like this type of game, it’s completely different from Antonio Conte or [Jose] Mourinho before. Like I say, we have more of the ball so for me it’s not bad.”

Hazard also has nothing but praise for new signings, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic who joined the club in the summer.

Hazard believes the two have made a significant impact, with the club yet to lose in the Premier League, beating Huddersfield, Arsenal, Newcastle and Bournemouth in their opening four games.

“I think the big difference is we bring in two players, Jorginho and Kovacic, and they are completely different,” he added.

“Of course, they want to keep the ball, we just try to keep the ball more often, and then when we have the chance to score we just need to score. But when we have more of the ball we can have more danger.

“At the moment we are okay, we are winning games, I think we are playing good football, so I’m enjoying it. I want to keep this momentum. The bad thing is now we go to the national team, we want to just keep playing with Chelsea and win games.”
