In a recent interview, Davido recalled the story of how he made about $600,000 from his fans in his birthday.
Davido narrated how he had just gotten a Cullinan car, and he made a lighthearted post, asking his fans to give him money to clear his car upon its arrival in Nigeria.
He said that the reason he needed a lot of money to clear his car was because clearing a car in Nigeria from abroad costs almost the same thing as buying it.
The singer said he made about $600,000 dollars from his fans, just from that post.

Recall that in the year 2021 on his birthday, Davido made a post on Instagram, asking his fans for money.
He got millions of Naira, after that one post.
He kept updating the receipts on his Instagram story, as random people kept sending him money. Davido got so much money into his bank account that the bank itself reached out to him.
After he had gotten the money, Davido pledged to use the money to feed orphaned children all across Nigeria.
His promise didn’t come to fruition until this year, and before that, popular Twitter user Daniel Regha had been hounding him about it, asking that he should fulfill his promise.
