Google Celebrates Christy Essien-Igbokwe

Late Nigerian Music Icon, Christy Essien-Igbokwe is being celebrated today by Google.

Christy Uduak Essien-Igbokwe MFR was a Nigerian musician and actress. In her life time, she was sometimes called Nigeria’s Lady of Songs and was known for her song “Seun Rere”. She was the first female president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria.

Tech Giant, Google has honoured the legend with a doodle.

Doodles are changes made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists.
