FirstNews General Editor, Segun Olatunji Resigns

The FirstNews General Editor, Mr Segun Olatunji, has resigned his appointment as General Editor with the First Media Network Limited, the publisher of FirstNews, an online news platform.

 

In the resignation letter dated May 8, 2024 and addressed to the firm’s Publisher/Managing Director, Olatunji cited a new development arising from the Gbajabiamila story and the stance of the company’s Management pertaining to it as reasons for resigning.

He also cited concern for the safety of his person and family as additional reason for quitting the appointment.

 

While expressing the confidence that in no distant time, the truth of what transpired will come to the fore and then it’ll be his word against theirs, he thanked the company’s management for giving him the opportunity to contribute his quota to its operations in the past four years.

He also expressed the hope that the Management of First Media Network Limited, will be magnanimous enough to fully settle his outstanding entitlements in no time.
