FEC Approves Transport Data Bank, Onne and Apapa Power Projects
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved major infrastructure projects aimed at improving transportation and power supply in Nigeria.
Among the approvals is the establishment of a national transport data bank designed to enhance planning, monitoring, and policy implementation within the transport sector.
The council also approved power projects for the Onne Port and Apapa Port to boost electricity supply and improve operational efficiency at the two major seaports.
Officials said the projects are part of broader efforts by the Federal Government to strengthen infrastructure, improve economic activities, and support trade and industrial growth across the country.
The approved initiatives are expected to enhance logistics operations, reduce delays at the ports, and support Nigeria’s long-term economic development goals.
