Manchester City’s Erling Haaland achieved another milestone in his career after becoming the club’s first player to score five goals in two separate matches.

In Man City’s 6-2 rout of Luton Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup clash on Tuesday, the 23-year-old notched up a stunning hat-trick in the first 40 minutes before adding two more goals in the second half.

Kevin De Bruyne provided the assist for four of the five goals, with Bernardo Silva setting up the fifth.

Haaland’s performance made him the first City player to net five goals in an FA Cup clash since 1926 and the first top-flight player to do so in the tournament since George Best in 1970.

Mateo Kovacic got City’s sixth goal in the 72nd minute, as Pep Guardiola’s side extended their unbeaten run to 18 matches.

Despite the win, City was dealt with a blow as Jack Grealish was substituted in the first half for groin injury.
