The impediment which is currently giving the former lawmaker persistent deep concern has to do with his distorted image in the gateway state. Though there are some who believe that Dimeji’s political stature and popularity would speak for him in the contest, his moves however became a source of derision to others.
Those against Dimeji’s governorship dream claimed that following his failed governorship campaign in 2011, the lively politician absconded the State and abandoned the PDP party faithful and supporters to silently and secretly pursue his selfish interest in Europe. And now that 2015 is around the corner, he (Bankole) is now back junketing up and down and shouting ‘power. ‘
