EPL Round Up: Manchester United Fall To A Humiliating Defeat As Crystal Palace Beat Arsenal At Home

1 min read

Manchester united continued their run of poor form when they fall 4 – 0 to Everton at Goodison Park.

The defeat means Manchester united has now lost five matches in seven, and sixth lost in nine matches since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed permanent manager.

Hopes of finishing in the top four seems very slim for United, as their next fixture is against Manchester City and then Chelsea.

Meanwhile fellow top four contender, Arsenal lost 2 – 3 at home to Crystal Palace.

Arsenal had the chance to move five point clear of Manchester united and three clear of chelsea but failed to do so, earning no point after the full time whistle.

The host fell behind in the 17th minute with a Christian Benteke strike before Mesut Ozil got the equalizing goal shortly after the restart of the second half, precisely in the 47th minute.

Wilfred Zahara gave the away team the lead back in the 61st minute before James McArthur added the third 69 minute into the second half.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang managed to get one back for the host in the 77th minute, but the equalizing goal seemed elusive even with Arsenal having 74% of possession. Hard fought victory for Crystal Palace in the end.

Liverpool on the other hand beat Cardiff 0 – 2 at the Cardiff City Stadium to go top of the league once again.

Goals from Georgino Wiljnaldum and James Milner made sure of all three points for Liverpool while getting another clean sheet.
