Eid-el-Kabir: Bauchi Police Deploy Personnel, Release Emergency Hotlines

The Bauchi State Police Command has deployed security personnel across the state ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations to ensure the safety of residents and maintain public order during the festive period.
The command said officers have been stationed at prayer grounds, major roads, recreational centres, markets and other strategic locations to prevent criminal activities and respond swiftly to emergencies.
According to the police, patrol teams and special units will also conduct surveillance operations across identified flashpoints to guarantee a peaceful celebration throughout the state.
The command further announced the release of emergency hotline numbers for residents to report suspicious movements, security threats, accidents, or any form of disturbance during the Sallah festivities.
Residents were urged to cooperate with security agencies, remain law-abiding, and provide useful information that could help prevent crime and ensure public safety.
The police also warned against reckless driving, public violence, and acts capable of disrupting peace, assuring the public of its commitment to protecting lives and property before, during, and after the celebrations.
