1 min read

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has warned camp officials to avoid over-socialization with members of the scheme.

The coordinator of the scheme in Katsina State, Hajiya Aisha Mohammed, gave the charge while addressing officials in preparation of the three-week orientation course billed to hold between February 15 and March 6 2024.

Mohammed said the officials are expected to be a good example for the young ones to emulate by being disciplined at all times during the orientation course.

She urged the personnel to put in their best and adhere strictly to the rules and regulations governing the conduct of the orientation course.

According to her, camp officials are discouraged from over-socializing with corps members, stressing the need for them to relate with the prospective corps members on a professional level.

The coordinator also called on the security agents deployed for the exercise to work together with officials to prevent unpleasant circumstances.

“Working in synergy will make the corps members borrow a leaf from you and participate actively in all camp activities,” she said.

Also speaking, the Camp Commandant, Capt. AS Musa, said teamwork was crucial to the successful conduct of the exercise.

He reiterated the commitments of the security agencies to secure the camp during the exercise.
