2 min read

In a recent development, Daniel Regha has called out Nigerians who are trying to champion a move met to cancel artist Buju.

He expressed how they had failed to cancel artist that they had previously said they would cancel hinting at the fact that it would be a failure.

“Y’all want to cancel Buju? The ones y’all vowed to cancel before what happened? RIP Mohbad….”

Earlier today he had shared some insights on the disrespect that OG artists get from upcomers. Taking to the X-Platform, he revealed that there was a rising trend of upcoming artists shading and being disrespectful to OGs.

Speaking on the Davido and Buju online fight which happened yesterday, he expressed that even though Davido was not a lyrical genius, Buju had no right to shade him unprovoked.

He further revealed that it was pathetic since Buju himself has not made one song that has gone beyond Instagram and TikTok trends.

In his words, he revealed,

“Davido is not a lyrical genius, but Buju has no right whatsoever to shade him unprovoked. It’s pathetic, especially since Buju himself has not made one song that goes beyond Instagram and TikTok trends. Upcomers are fond of disrespecting industry icons slash legends, which is sickening. No shade.“

Daniel Regha has also revealed earlier today that Buju had no right to insult Davido since he had not made any hit song.

Recall that the entire drama started when Buju had thrown a clear shade at Davido after a fan of Davido called out his new artist for not being good enough.

Davido reacting to this promptly unfollowed him on Instagram and also deleted the tweets which he made back in 2023, hinting at the collaboration between him and Buju. Buju had reacted to this by going on the X platform to disclose that he had been the one to write the song and that he was still going to release it regardless.

However, Davido’s musical family, Mayorkun and Dremo came on the X platform to slam Buju for his statement.

Following all of the online onslaughts on him, Buju bowed to pressure and immediately tendered an apology to Davido for his statement. He admitted that he had been out of pocket.
