Cristiano Ronaldo Gets Red Card As Al-Nassr Lose

Al Nassr superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, received a red card for elbowing an Al-Hilal player during a Saudi Super Cup clash on Monday.

Ronaldo and his team-mates thought they had taken the lead, after Otavio diverted into the net at the end of the first half.

However, the flag soon went up and replays showed that it was disallowed because Ronaldo made an attempt to play the ball from an offside position.

The decision sent Ronaldo into a fury as he argued with the referee about the call. Ronaldo failed to connect with the ball in the middle of the box and it made its way through to Otavio, who was onside when the ball was played.

Ronaldo was shown a yellow card by the referee because of his protest, but his day got worse when he lashed out at an Al-Hilal player and was shown a straight red card late in the game while his team were 2-0 down.

He raised his fist at the referee after the card came out and sarcastically applauded the official as he walked off.
