Covenant University Denies Fake Professorial List

Covenant University refutes employing the four alleged “fake professors” listed in a viral social media post, which sourced information from a broadcast medium.
The post identified 100 individuals as fake professors in Nigerian universities.
The broadcast medium earlier named the National Universities Commission, NUC, as its source.
In its reply, Covenant University highlighted its thorough recruitment process and rigorous academic standards on its official Instagram page.

The statement underscored the meticulous procedures for appointing professors, such as international peer review and adherence to world-class criteria.
The university further clarified that it has never interacted with any of the individuals listed in the document.
“We wish to set the record straight,” the statement reads, “We have no such names as listed in the said article in our payroll.Also, Covenant has never interacted with any of the four persons at any time, and in any capacity.”
The university concluded the statement by urging stakeholders to disregard the information as misinformation and reiterating its commitment to academic excellence and ethical conduct.
