Construction Of Fourth Mainland Bridge Commences In Lagos – Sanwo-Olu

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu has said the construction of the Fourth Mainland bridge has begun.

 

According to Sanwo-Olu, the project will commence by the end of March or April.

 

The governor revealed this on Thursday in an address at the Lagos West Senatorial District Town Hall Meeting held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton, Ikeja Lagos state.

Sanwo-Olu said, “We’ve done extensive work on the bridge. But we are at the crossroads of where to get the real financing for that kind of project. We’ll need to be very very creative.”

 

“Our commitment is that within this first quarter, meaning that by the end of March or April, we should break ground to start the construction of the Fourth Mainland Bridge,” he added.

He had earlier at the same event announced that the Lagos Red Line rail would be unveiled in February.

 

The governor said he had written to President Bola Tinubu regarding the unveiling of the rail line.
