Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has revealed why Manchester United defeated Juventus in their Champions League game on Wednesday.

Wenger told beIN Sports that Juventus struggled due to lack of pace and suggested that the Italian Champions should have “up the tempo.”

Manchester United produced a stunning fightback to defeat Juve 2-1 after Cristiano Ronaldo had put the Italian side 1-0 ahead.

Wenger suggested that the Italians should have killed off the contest when they had the chance.

The former Arsenal boss also said Juventus were just too comfortable and that leads to mistakes that saw them lose.

Wenger added, “I must say that Juventus were fantastic for 84 minutes, but it shows that when you play fantastically well you can still lose a big game like that. They were too comfortable!”

Speaking on Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal, the Frenchman added, “It’s such a fantastic goal, it surprises us all.

“We have seen him in so many games, but we are still suprised because he does the unexpected.”
