American actor Will Smith will not be permitted to attend any academy events or programs for the next ten years, the Hollywood Film Academy said Friday.
Smith walked on stage and slapped Chris Rock during the glamorous awards ceremony after the comedian made a joke about Smith’s wife’s hair.
Will Smith was awarded the Oscar for Best Actor later in the evening despite the melee.
