Biden Claims That Zelensky Disregarded Warnings Regarding A Russian Invasion.
1 min readPresident Joe Biden of the United States stated Friday that his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, “didn’t want to hear” American warnings before Russia invaded his country.
“I know a lot of people thought I was exaggerating,” Biden remarked at a Los Angeles fundraiser luncheon, referring to his warning of a Russian strike.
“But I knew we had the evidence to back up (the evaluation),” he said in front of the press.

“(Russian President Vladimir Putin) intended to cross the border. There was no doubt about it, and neither Zelensky nor many others wanted to hear it. I can see why they didn’t want to hear it, but he went in anyway.”
Long before Putin announced the “special operation” against Ukraine on February 24, the US began voicing concerns about Russia’s preparations for an invasion of Ukraine.
The warnings, according to Biden, were treated with mistrust and even veiled criticism from certain European partners who thought the US was being overly cautious at the time.
