Amuneke In Race To Become New Super Eagles Head Coach
1 min readFormer Nigerian international, Emmanuel Amuneke has joined the race to be the next head coach of the Super Eagles.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) declared the position vacant on Friday.
This follows the expiration of Jose Peseiro’s contract.

The NFF requested interested coaches to apply for the top job and also listed the requirements.
“Yes I did [apply to be the next manager],” Amuneke told popular journalist Osazu Obayiwana.
The 53-year-old is one of the leading candidates to take over from Peseiro.
The former Barcelona star has handled the Nigeria U-17 side and Tanzania national team in the past.
